4am hit me early this morning...we wanted to get ahead of the DC traffic. We actually left Bel Air at 5am, made it past DC and hit breakfast in Alexandria VA by 7am :) It was dark and rainy the whole way down...
We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel where I had my coffee...Mmmmmm
I got the Country Morning Breakfast which included Eggs, Biscuits, Sawmill Gravy and Grits (I don't eat grits) but it was delicious.
I added honey to my biscuit...is it an obsession yet?!
We got to Busch Gardens around 9:30am and the park opened at 10am. The weather had cleared up beautifully and the sun was shining so bright, gorgeous!!! We hit ALL the roller coasters (some even twice)...Lunch was at Octoberfest (sausage, german potato salad and some red cabbage) Mmmmmm! Pictures will have to wait (they are loaded on my camera and my USB cord is at work :/ We decided to leave the park and check into the hotel around 2p. I LOVE Hampton Inns...so clean and well maintained. We checked out our room then I went to check out the gym. Yes I know I walked like 3 miles at the park earlier today but I needed to do some sweaty cardio, LOL (especially after I ate all that food)
Right now I'm getting ready to hit the shower then we'll get ready to head back to the park for Howl O Scream. The same theme park from earlier becomes haunted at 6pm each night. All the rides change, the shows change, etc. I'm such a whimp and I scream and freak out at everything but DJ says that makes it more fun for him.
Dinner tonight will be something at the park, probably just snacks. I have my eye on some kettle corn and a pretzel :) I HEART vacations...
Now for the Inspiration part of this post...
On the way to the hotel this afternoon I checked my FB from my phone. I had a FB message from a very old friend. Someone who recently lost her father very suddenly and who was a HUGE part of my life from Kindergarten to 8th grade (my BFF during most of that time) then again while we were in college. Let's just say we've always had a connection, even if we don't really spend alot of time together :)
Anyway...her message to me thanked me for being an inspiration (I recentely sent her my blog info). This makes me so happy...I had hoped when I started this whole thing...that journaling about what I was doing would just help me to document my progress and remember what I did that worked and what didn't. Only recently did I realize how much I LOVE to do this...I love to talk about this stuff...I love to create and try new recipes and I LOVE this transformation that has made me a new person. A new person who plays with my kids, who feels great, has more energy and is loving life right now!!!
Thank you Melissa, Terri, Amy, Karen, anyone else who reads and likes what I write. Thank you for keeping me going. Every time I inspire someone...it makes me want to go even further. It touches my heart and makes me so happy that I can help :) Hugs to all!!!
Alright...time to get in the shower (I think I stink) LOL
