I spent the day at a Legislation and Regulatory Update Conference (Zzzzzzz to most)...insanely interesting to me. I guess it is why I do what I do! The food was pretty good but lacked whole grains :(
For Breakfast I made a yogurt parfait with some fruit and granola
and gasp....I let myself have a piece of bagel. LOL..this was a treat.
You may be asking..."April, what did bagels every do to you?!?" Well...Bagels are BY FAR the most mis represented food around. They are a refined and condensed carbohydrate that will sabotage even the most healthy eater. They contain NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE! UGG...It upsets me that people think they're so healthy and for the calories...you might as well have a doughnut (stepping down from soap box now) LOL
Lunch consisted of a veggie wrap and a salad with some grilled chicken. I'm actually really happy about the choices I made. I made these choices easily...not because they were the healthiest but because it is really (REALLY) what I wanted...YAY April!!!
This is insane...I can't believe how well I chose at lunch!! As a result, I had Ice Cream during the afternoon break. Mostly I got the ice cream for the toppings!!!!! (Jimmies, Wet Nuts, Cookies and Caramel)
I only ate a few bites of the actual ice cream...LOL
For dinner the boys had a pizza party for Dom's end of soccer party so I grabbed some Chinese Food for myself but only after I took a run and got rained on :) LOL
