William and Kate...

I was up at 4pm to watch the royal wedding!  I LOVE Kate!!!!  Her dress was stunning and the ceremony was amazing, I think you could really tell they love eachother!

Tonight will probably be a disaster in terms of eating but I'll be good the rest of the day :)  Last night Livie and I did take a walk.  It was a great night for a walk and although she didn't enjoy it as much as I did...we may have to do it more often.  Today I have to leave work around 2p, then go shopping, then clean my house and get ready for the party.  If I get home by 3p, I'll have plenty of time.  The rep is coming over at 6p. 

The boys had a great night camping...I hope they have a great day too.  TTFN

Firecracker Chocolate

Mmmmmm, I just tied a new chocolate $4/bar.  It was amazing.  Dark Chocolate with chipotle, salt and popping candy.  AMAZING!  It was totally worth the $$ and delicious!

Today is kind of a crazy day, the boys are leaving to go camping...so Livie and I are going to "hang" with mom mom and poppy!  Tomorrow night is my pampered chef party.  These are not healthy recipes but I'm making pampered chef's baked brie and crab dip.  Then my mom is bringing a reese pie and we'll be making a Ring with chicken broccoli and cheese. 

Crab Dip
1/2 brick light cream cheese
4 oz lump crab
1/4 C. Cocktail sauce
Crackers

Take the cream cheese and spread it on a small rectangle platter.  Sprinkle unbroken lump crab on top of cream cheese and distribute cocktail sauce on top.  Serve with crackers yum (I'll post pictures later)


Pampered Chef Baked Brie

cup chopped apple
(½ medium apple)
cup sliced natural almonds
cup dried cranberries
tablespoon packed brown sugar
teaspoon Pantry Korintje Cinnamon
tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
round (8 ounces) Brie cheese (about 4 inches in diameter)
Crackers or cocktail bread slices

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Coarsely chop apple with food chopper. Combine apple, almonds, cranberries, brown sugar and cinnamon in small batter bowl; mix gently. Stir in butter just until ingredients are moistened.
  2. Cut Brie in half horizontally using utility knife. Place one half of Brie, rind side down, on small bar pan. Spoon half of the apple mixture onto bottom half of Brie, spreading evenly. Top with remaining half of Brie, rind side up. Spoon remaining apple mixture over top. Bake 12-15 minutes or until cheese is soft and just begins to melt. Serve with assorted crackers or cocktail bread slices.
I LOVE to cook so this will be fun!  Then of course I'll have some wine :)

I didn't run last night and I have no idea how I will be able to run tonight with Livie lou...maybe we'll just go for a walk, Yup, that is what we'll have to do.  I'll just put her in her stroller and we'll take a stroll!

Monsters make me shiver...

My Green Monster makes me cold :)  I'm sure it is the ice and frozen fruit but brrrrrrrrrr....I'm chilly this morning. 

Last night at Aerobics ROCKED!!!!  It was a great class with lots of core and upper body work.  I needed it.  Today for bfast, I have my coffee, GM, eng muffin sammie.  Then I have my mom's bean soup *yum* with a veggie burger.  Dinner tonight will be bourbon chicken from Poulet (being delivered to work this afternoon) and if the rain stops, we're going to head out for a snow ball later.  I LOVE my snow ball stand b/c they have sugar free flavors :)  I will also C25k tonight.  If I'm being honest, I've stopped the actual C25k program...I'll restart it but I'm trying to build up my running endurance right now.  I have a 1.5 mile path and I run 1/2 mile then walk 1/2 mile then run 1/2 mile, I like it alot.  I've also added a daily walk of a mile to the mix.  Grace and I and sometimes Amy take a 20 minute/1 mile walk around 10am.  It is a nice way to break up the morning. 

Random:  There is a spider or something that is attacking me regularly.  I find new bug bites every day.  Time to change the sheets! 

Oh and I'm back down 2lbs...so my weight is the same as last Tuesday (Oh well)...New goal is to be 210 by June 1st!!!

feels like a Monday...Tuesday

Today definitely feels like a Monday...weird.  Demon scale was not my friend this morning (I'm up 2lbs).  I was pretty good all week/end, even with Easter in the mix.  Oh well, keep on truckin right?  I'm going to go with the blind belief that I'm losing inches instead of lbs...ignorance is bliss :)

Today food consisted of GM and english muffin sammie.  Then lunch was a salad and the rest of the chicken tikka with rice.  Dinner tonight is tacos (so over tacos, but the boys love them).  We also went for a walk this afternoon, felt GREAT!  78 is my favorite temperature!!!  Tonight is Aerobics - YAY, I am SO looking forward to it!  TTFN (222.5)

Unmotivated

Eeek, I've been unmotivated lately.  I didn't GM yesterday - yikes!  This is the first time in 3 months that I didn't GM.  I was only b/c it was Easter and I was inundated with a million other happenings.  I also didn't run last night...:( 

Today is a new leaf.  Bfast was GM and english muffin.  Lunch was some Chicken Tikka from Poulet and some jasmine rice.  Snacks were pretzels and cheese and an apple.  Dinner tonight will be?!?  not sure.  I'm so happy to be preparing chicken again.  due to my meatless diet over lent, we didn't prepare any chicken.  Back to it this week (which reminds me I need to pull chicken breast out of the freezer - maybe).  I'm just realizing that tonight will be something easy like pizza, tomorrow is taco night and Wednesday I ordered carryout from Poulet (bourbon chicken and roasted veggies).  Thursday night the boys are leaving for a camping trip until Saturday, so Livie and I will fend for ourselves and Friday is my pampered chef party.  Hmmm, sounds like a fun week to me :)

I think I'm going to go back to veggie burgers for lunch.  It is SO low in calories and really fills me up.  I need to jump start my weight loss again, I've been losing only about a lb a week and I want to lose a little more, a little more quickly.  I'm not sure what I'll add but something is going to change soon (I'll keep you posted)

Happy Easter!

Hippity Hoppity...Easter spells DISASTER in terms of trying to eat right.  This morning we went to mass at 8:30 and the poinsetta lily catholics must have been waiting for 10:30 mass b/c it wasn't too crazy - Thank GOD! 

I DIDN'T GREEN MONSTER TODAY!  Holy Moly...I just realized it :(  I'll have to GM tonight when I get home! 

So far today I've had DD coffee and egg white flat bread and some easter bread.  I hope to keep the candy to a minimum...I'll let ya'll know how I did!

Positive Attitude

Today...I need to focus on a positive attitude.  I am very disappointed in some stuff that is happening here at work so I'm going to chin up and try to barrel through. 

Food this morning was a GM and english muffin sammie.  Lunch will be some soup and a little salad (greens, raspberry vinegrette, lf blue cheese, sunflower seeds).  Snacks will be triscuits and cheese and a kashi bar.  Running last night felt good and the boys had a great night at T-ball practice. 

Dinner tonight will probably be a piece of pizza and a salad. 

I'm gonna log off here and try to cheer up...TTFN

Holy Thursday...

I'm really tired this morning (I think I am every morning though) and my coffee is YUMMY!  I will of course GM in a bit and I have my eng muffin sandwich again.  DJ and Livie are coming to take me out to lunch today.  I'm not sure where we'll go, maybe Panera or CPK.  CPK is a danger zone of calories so I hope he'll be good with Panera.  We do need to hit Dick's sporting goods for cleats for Dominic and baseball pants/socks for Mason. 

This is TMI (Warning)...Coffee is a natural laxative for me, it is so weird that not even 10 minutes after my first sip, I feel the stirings of needing to "go" and within 20 minutes I'm running to the ladies room.  Oh well!

I feel really guilty that I didn't C25k last night...I just didn't feel like it and this isn't an excuse but I am really sore from Aerobics on Tuesday night.  I will C25k tonight after Tball practice and hopefully I can behave at lunch...we'll see

Dinner tonight will be a Poulet meal: sliced beef, mashed potatoes, roasted root veggies.  Yum but I'm sure not calorie friendly.

Sunshine

Today is going to be a gorgeous day!!!  I can't wait to feel the sunshine :)  I'm going to meet a friend out for lunch and today is Healthbeat so I'll be pretty busy starting around 12pm until the rest of the day. 

I'm changing up food today...I had my GM (of course) and I stopped at DD.  I got a coffee and flat bread sandwich.  I really enjoy these and for under 300 calories, it's a good protein packed deal.  I packed snacks (triscuits, kashi bar, frosted mini wheats) but I'm going out for lunch to Jason's Deli.  I think I'll have the nutty mixed up salad or a yummy wrap. 

Aerobics last night was good and hard...ugg my core and arms are killing me.  It is so nice to have this for cross training.  Although I love running, I like that this gives me an opportunity to work on my core.  I'm still sad that I only get to enjoy this once a week :(

Lavender

Lavender is such a gorgeous color!!!  I painted my nails a lavender color and it is making me feel very springy and happy!  Random I know!!!  :)

I realized I didn't post yesterday...bizarre!!!  Yesterday was a good day! Great Day!  The weather was gorgeous and I'll be honest I didn't feel like going for a run but my darling hubby motivated me to get going.  He is so wonderful!  He simply said, Honey, you've been doing so well, dont' stop now.  It is all I needed and I even went an extra half mile, it felt so good!  Bfast was my normal, lunch was a salad and lean cuisine pizza.  Then Grace and I went shopping for our "lunch break".  We stopped at Rita's on the way back.  Oh YUM!  They have a new flavor, Island Fusion, and it is DELCIOUS!  I split my regular sized cup of ice with Amy and I think it only packed about 150 calories, totally worth it!  Last night I made a pizza for dinner which I had with a big salad.  The boys had a milkshake and I had a little sip... GREAT Day!

My coffee this morning is really yummy!  Maybe yummy is the fact that the demon scale was my friend today!!!  I'm down to 220.5 - HOLY MOLY.  This is 3lbs from last week!!!  And since I didn't lose anything last week (due to aunt flow), this is perfect!!!!!  I'm really happy today!

Food today will be the normal bfast with GM.  Then snacks include crackers/cheese, some frosted mini wheat's (b/c I love them) and a kashi bar.  Lunch will be broccoli cheddar soup.  It is Taco night in the Floyd house tonight.  I'll probably have a taco salad.

Sunny Sunday

The weather is just gorgeous today!!!   I will be running later and probably take a walk with the boys to Rita's too :)  Food wise it has been a bad day.  GM this morning then I was starving around 10am and I had some Salmon and rice (finished it).  Then we went to lunch around 11:30 to Pizza John's near my mom and dad's.  I LOVE this place but it is really not very healthy food.  I had a garden salad (consisting of crunchy water *iceburg lettuce*, carrots, tomatoes, green papers, radishes and some ranch dressing)  Then I had 2 pieces of cheese pizza, it was really yummy though :)

Dinner tonight is my shrimp pasta at my parent's house. 
Livie is yawning and tired so I'm gonna put her down for a nap!

Rain and Wind!!

Holy mother nature's wrath today!!!  The rain and wind are crazy, happy spring!!  At least this means beautiful flowers right??  I made a run to Kohls and Target, mostly for the Starbucks I wanted :)  I love that my target has a Starbucks!

Luckily before the rain started I got in my run.  I jogged for a mile and walked for a mile.  It felt really nice!  Food today...I GMed this morning and made french toast for the boys with whole wheat bread.  I had 2 pieces of that before I made a quick trip to the grocery store.  I bought all the ingredients I need to make a Nilla/Banana Cream Pie.  Yummmm  Here is how you do it:
Ingredients
Box Jello Sugar Free Instant Vanilla pudding
3 Bananas Sliced
Nilla Wafers
Light Cool Whip

Prepare the pudding according to the directions, add the sliced bananas and set aside in the fridge to set up for about 15 minutes. 

Take the pie plate and cover with the reduced fat Nilla Wafers in a single layer.  Pour the pudding/banana mixture over the Nilla Wafers and smooth out. 

Cover top of the pie with cool whip, decorate with a few more wafers and refrigerate for 30 minutes.  Enjoy!  YUM!

You can obviously make this "fresher" by making your own pudding from scratch and whipping your own cream but who needs the calories and who has the time?!?  LOL

Today for lunch I had a little more of the Salmon from last night and dinner tonight will be sliced turkey breast, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach (from Poulet).  That is food and life...TTFN

Day off...

My day off certainly wasn't what I could call a day of leisure.  Poor DJ is still dealing with the kidney stones so I got the boys ready for school, breakfast, lunches then took Dominic to school, shopped with Mom, then picked up Dominic from school before going to Mom's for fear DJ would have to go to the ER (at least Mom would have the kids).  Left Mom's (no ER visit), came home then to work for some stuff I had to take care of.  Now I'm completely exhausted.

I bought a bunch of meals from Poulet *dinner delivery service at work* and tonight I had the asian salmon with brown rice pilaf and asian green beans.  Yummm...I'm sure the meal had way too much oil in it but it was delicious!  Hmmm, let me think...what else did I get from Poulet *for the freezer*??  Chicken Tikka, sliced beef, roasted turkey breast, rock fish, I know there was more plus a TON of sides all for $50!!! 

Today was a crazy day with food.  I GMed this morning, then had DD coffee and a flat bread sandwich.  for lunch I had a couple of bites of the frozen pizza my mom made, then when I got home a big salad with spring mix, blue cheese, sunflower seeds and raspberry vinaigrette.  The only other thing I've eaten was the salmon, rice, beans.  I was SO hungry when I finally got home.  I inhaled it and now I have indigestion (whoops)

I'm going to let this food settle then go for a quick run before I head to bed.  I'm SO POOPED!  I can't wait to get in my beddie bye :)

PS...I'm so happy that the skanks started a FB group.  I can follow everyone again and I'm really happy about it!  TTFN

Chinese

I have been craving Chinese food...so last night we decided to go for it with DJ not feeling well, it was easier than me worrying about cooking.  DJ ordered pork fried rice and a shrimp eggroll.  I ordered the broccoli and chicken (I know I'm not supposed to be eating meat but Easter is close, right?!).  I was so proud that I didn't even eat a bite of the fried rice and eggroll...it didn't feel like a huge sacrifice either.  Craving satisfied!

I did C25k last night and it felt good.  I'm up to running 5 minutes, walking 2, running 5, walking 2 and then running 5.  It was a nice work out and I can't wait to do it tonight b/c it is just gorgeous outside!!!

Dinner tonight is going to be sliced beef in red wine sauce with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach for DJ.  I figured it would make him feel better to have a yummy dinner and I ordered through a dinner service here at work.  I will be having a veggie burger and salad :)  We have Tball tonight, hopefully he'll feel up to it.  I will C25k at some point

Speaking of DJ...poor guy is in a ton of pain!  He just left early from work and went home to sleep...poor guy!

Lunch today is a lean cuisine and some noodle soup.  Snacks today are pretzels, TLC kashi bar and an apple.  Breakfast was GM and veg sausage english muffin (as usual) YUM!!!  I was joking with Grace today that if I could just eat my breakfast for every meal, I'd be a happy camper.  Except I'd probably get bored with it :)  Time to work

Kidney Stones

After I posted yesterday I got a call from DJ that he was on his way to the ER.  He was having pain, ALOT of pain in his left side.  I met him at the ER and it turned out to be a 3mm kidney stone.  He had some morphine and went home with percocets.  He will pass the stone at some time today.  He is kind of panicked about it.  I know it is going to hurt and thankfully Nanny is going to come down today to spend the day with DJ and Livie. 

As a result of our ER visit...I ate at Panera AGAIN!  BOO...too many calories.  I got a panini and black bean soup.  We didn't get out of the ER until about 1p and we were both starving.  Anyway...then for dinner I had a taco salad and 3 taco shells (I ate meat) :(  Then because Mom and Dad were bringing back the car *from DJ's school, since he couldn't drive* I ended up not even running or going to Aerobics.  I'm happy to get back on track today and I'm glad yesterday is over.  On to today and my routine :)

Tonight will be pizza for dinner b/c the poulet dinner won't be here until late today (too late), so we'll have that tomorrow.  I have soup and a lean cuisine pizza today for lunch. 

FYI - I inherited a feather bed from my mom (mattress topper)- OMG!!!  I didn't want to get out of my bed this morning! It is amazing...

Clothes

I'm pretty happy that my clothes are starting to fit me better.  Not only that but I'm wearing clothes I haven't been able to wear for quite awhile.  Although my weight didn't change this week, I'm ok with it.  If we were to leave for Ireland right now, I'd be OK with my size.  I want to be alot smaller but I know this will come with all the hard work I've been doing and will continue to do.  Plus, I know I didn't lose weight because I have my little visitor :(

Easter feels like it will NEVER COME!  I am starting to get pretty sick of this no meat thing.  If nothing else it makes dinner much more complicated.  I have ordered sliced beef from Poulet (dinner service) for dinner tomorrow night.  It was reasonably priced and I wanted to try something new.  Sorry Jesus 

Last night, I met Mom at the mall to pick up the kids so DJ could work late.  I went to subway and had a few licks of the boys' ice cream cones.  Then we went shopping for Easter outfits for the boys.  It was a nice night and I did pretty well with the calories.  I had a late snack (which I never do) of triscuits and cheese...(oh and a glass of wine).  It was yummy!

I need to buckle down and get some serious weight off this week.  Next week I want to be under 220. 

Lunch today is salad and noodle soup, dinner tonight is Tacos for the boys and probably a salad and veg burger for me :) TTFN!

Weekend...

Bleck!!!  Friday was a pretty bad day...The truck died on Thursday night and we found out Friday that it is going to cost us about $1200 to fix again.  We just put $800 into in in January.  I'm having a hard time with the financial decision.  Then the AAP at work is driving me nuts.  In addition, DJ was backing up the Jetta and left the pump in the gas tank at the gas station, ripping off the door of my gas tank.  I know there was more but I just gotta let it go.  Friday was over, we laughed and will move on!

Saturday was better.  I GMed and had my veg sausage English muffin while we had the 2nd part of the yard sale at my house.  We sold $50 worth of stuff so that was fun money for the weekend and I C25ked before going to lunch at Panera with Mom/Meg/Dad/Linc and Livie.  The boys went to DE shore to visit with the in-laws.  At Panera I got the half bbq chopped salad and cup of tomato soup (about 600 calories).  Mom and I then went shopping in downtown Bel Air and went to a pottery show at Rockfield Manor before coming home for a little rest.  We met up with Daddy for dinner at Longhorn steak house.  I got the grilled Salmon with veggies and rice and a salad with some low fat vinegrette.  I did have a glass of wine.  Mom and I then went to a quarter auction in Dundalk...NEVER AGAIN!  I'm glad we went to support my cousin, Davina but I wish I'd have just sent cash.  It was a dud. 

Livie and I slept in a little this morning then went to the grocery store after I GMed.  We then went to DD so I could get a coffee and egg white flat bread sandwich.  We came home, she napped and I did laundry all morning/afternoon.  For lunch I had a veg burger and salad.  The boys got home around 2pm.  I made apple crumble and chicken noodle soup.  We had an early dinner while I finished up the rest of the laundry and we cleaned up what we didn't sell at the yard sale.  Now I'm sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and about an hours worth of work ahead of me :(  Time to get to it, TTFN

Work...Truck...Life...

I have to count my blessings...I'm so ticked at work and the truck right now I could scream.  This AAP is going to kill me and the truck is going to put us out another bunch of money :(  I need to remember that I have 3 beautiful, healthy babies and my life is GREAT!  Oh and add to that MONEY?!?!?!?!  the truck, mortgage, jetta and insurance are all in lag!  I don't know where we're spending our money but it isn't on our bills!?!?!?  With what we make we shouldn't be having these troubles.

I need to finish this stupid work, then deal with the bills and pray about the truck!!!  I need to just run...that will make we feel better and squish my munchkins!  Alright back to the grind!

STRESS!!!!

BOO!!!!  STRESS STRESS STRESS!  I just want some pastries b/c that helps me feel better!  I don't even have time to type this message b/c of work...

Weekend should be good but I HAVE to finish this AAP before I do anything else!!!!

One Mile!!!

I can't believe it but I ran a whole mile last night without stopping!  This is an incredible feat considering March 1st, I didn't run AT ALL!  It was amazing and I wasn't even too winded...I came up to a big hill and I had to walk it.  I probably could have kept going :)  SO HAPPY and proud of myself!

I'm really tired in the mornings...I'm not sure why :(  Perhaps it is the fact that I didn't get to sleep last night until after 10 (Wednesday is my TV night: The Middle, Better with you, Modern Family, and Mr. Sunshine) and I was up before 5am.  That is still 7 hours of sleep so I should be ok.  Livie is sleeping through the night...so that is a good thing.  I'm sure I'll get in the swing of spring here shortly.  The weather is finally starting to get better.

I did pretty well yesterday food wise.  Dinner was fish (I destroyed it while I was cooking it) with mango salsa, brown rice and some of my guac dip.  I'm going to have to give up avocado again :(  Every time I eat it I get out of control and I don't lose as much weight during that week.  Oh well it was nice while it lasted.  This morning I woke up 1lb higher than Tuesday :( BOO!  It could be water retention or it could be the avocado.  Either way I really want to be down to 221.5 on Tuesday so I'm going to work on it.

This weekend will be quiet.  The boys are all going to the beach for a weekend and Livie and I are having a girls weekend.  I'm having dinner with a girl friend on Friday (that was already planned) and we'll find something to get into on Saturday!  Tonight is T-Ball practice and dinner will be something easy b/c well I don't feel like cooking.  Maybe we'll just subway or something. 

Lunch today is left over fish and I'm gonna take a walk to Wegman's or Poulet and get a small salad or something.  I'm out of greens at home :(  TTFN (224.5)

Aerobics ROCKS!

I LOVE my aerobics class!!!  We had so much fun last night doing Hip Hop Abs.  I have at least 10-15 senior citizens in my class and I LOVE THEM...this class is so diverse it makes me feel really really good.  Let's just say that I rocked out Hip Hop Abs! LOL  It was a great workout and I feel great!

Last night I went crazy on my avocado dip in tortilla, on a taco shell and with some triscuits.  Oh well...it is really yummy!  Today for lunch I have some broccoli soup and a hummus pita.  I have my snacks and bfast complete with GM!  Today is going to be a great day!

I hope to get home early enough today to run before I get Mason off the bus.  It is supposed to be a gorgeous day so I hope we can hang out outside tonight!!  Life is good...I'm good...we're all good!!!

Woo Hoo!!!

Tuesday is my official weekly weigh in day (in case I haven't mentioned that) and today I'm down another 2lbs.  I can't freakin believe it!!!  This new diet/exercise program is ROCKING!!!!! 

Last night I made a pizza and almost burnt down the house, LOL...smoked out the house I should say.  Some cheese dripped onto the bottom of the stove and smoked LIKE CRAZY!  Mason and I actually had to evacuate.  I opened all the windows and lit candles so it was much better by evening but YUCK!  Stupid cheese!!!

Today, I'm still obsessed with the avocado dip I made on Sunday!  It is so freakin yummy. Tonight the boys will have tacos and I'll have avocado dip in tortillas :)  For lunch today, I brought some of my frozen noodle soup (from 2 weeks ago) and a veg burger.  Snacks and bfast are pretty much the same :)  Note: on Friday I tried boiled whole grains (thanks Grace) and they were delicious!!!  I'm going to search for them at Wegmans today or tomorrow.

Pineapple Monster!

OMG!!!  Pineapple in the GM is amazing!  Here's is what I did:
8oz Almond Milk
1/2 C Pineapple
1/4 C Blueberries
1/2 Banana
3 cups Spinach

Blended to deliciousness!!!

Today's going to be a good day!!!

This weekend was great and even last longer than normal (or at least it felt like it).  GNO was GREAT!  I got Ahi Seared Tuna on a salad and even had a nibble of some french fries...FRENCH FRIES are my downfall!  Then 3 delicious glasses of Pinot Noir :)  The conversation was wonderful.  We ended up staying out until after 11p which NEVER happens.  We are all moms, most of us with little ones at home.  I <3 GNO!

Yesterday we finished up the yard sale at Moms.  But before that I...woke up at 6a with the munchkins, C25ked around 7a, took Mason to CCD, did all the grocery shopping, picked up Mason from CCD...then came home, put away the groceries before finally heading to Mom's by 11a.  WOWEE ZOWEE, crazy morning.  Around all of that I did GM and had a hummus pita.  At Mom's I had a little pasta and we left there around 2.  DJ was starving as was I so we decided to order from Outback takeaway.  While we were traveling on 95 north, the truck lost power and we drifted to the side of the road before I almost lost my mind!!!  We JUST paid off the truck and I was so freaking stressed out that it could be the transmission or something worse...we can't put ANY MORE money in this death trap!  So as I was freaking out and silently thanking God that we joined AAA, the highway patrol pulled up.  "Perhaps we are out of gas" he says..."well the light did come on a few miles ago" DJ says...the kindly guy puts 2 gallons of gas in the truck for us and voila - we are on our way!  THANK GOD!  We have to get the gauge checked but all in all...I'm a happy April!  So Outback was out b/c we had been SO STRESSED out we forgotten to order.  We ordered Chinese instead.  I got chicken and broccoli (I know GASP...April gave up meat for lent; but I have been desperate for chicken lately and I've been indulging a little :() and DJ got General Tso (ugg fried) and some egg rolls.  I ate my chicken and broccoli with white rice (gasp again) but passed on the General's mess and eggrolls - YAY April! 

Last night the boys wanted some ice cream (God LOVE that DJ bought double churned light) and I indulged too.  Last night while I was in the shower I started to panic about the list of food I'd eaten:
  • GM (3)
  • Hummus Pita (3)
  • Pasta (3)
  • Animal Crackers (3)
  • Chicken and Broccoli/white rice (10)
  • Triscuits with a little avocado (3)
  • Ice Cream waffle Cone (4)
But with my C25k I think it all balanced out and although it felt like I'd over indulged...I really hadn't.

Today, Monday, should be interesting...I have a TON of work to do and I've packed really well.  I have my eng muffin sandwich, GM stuff, triscuits and yummy avocado dip I made (avocado, black beans, corn, and pico), apple, granola bar, fish/rice (from last week, I'd frozen it) and salad w/ fixings.  Dinner tonight?? who knows?!

Twisted Harp

I'm so excited about GNO tonight!  It will be a blast and we have 9 ladies joining us.  We are going to the Twisted Harp in Baltimore and I can't wait to have a few glasses of wine and just relax.

Last night was a little bit of a disaster!  We did end up getting sushi but the problem is that I ALSO had 2 peices of little ceasers pizza :( bleck!  We got the pizza for the boys and it just smelled too good not to indulge.  I did C25k last night so that helped.  I didn't even weigh myself this morning for fear of the results.

Today I've had my GM, flatbread egg white sandwich from Dunkin donuts and a coffee with cream.  For lunch, who knows...I'm planning to get a yummy salad somewhere.  Dinner tonight will be a veggie burger at home then some soup or something at GNO then my wine :)

We were at Mom's this morning for a yard sale and we sold a bunch of CRAP...and earned $50...woot!  GNO money :)

Eating out!!!

UGGGG!
Is it bad that I used to LOVE eating out and now I hate it?!?  I think it is a good thing but it is starting to get me a little depressed.  OK, here is what is going on.  Last night my mom insisted that we go to Panena for dinner (her treat).  I got a pick2 with salad and soup.  It was probably about 700 calories.  Now I'd been good all day so I'm sure it was fine.  I got on the scale this morning and I was back to my Tuesday weight.  Again not a huge deal but I like to dip a little every day knowing I'm getting to my 2lb a week goal.  That was last night! 

Today, we are having lunch brought in for us from Jason's Deli.  I'm hoping there are only a few veggie selections and they are healthy...then I won't feel inclined to indulge.  Tonight DH wants to get crab cakes from a local seafood restaurant for carry out.  UGG!  I love crab cakes and I know they're pretty good calorie wise but I can't been 100% sure how many calories I'll be enjoying...so that stresses me out a little.  Crab Cakes are comprised of Crab (good choice) mayo (bad choice) egg (ok choice) and breadcrumbs (ok choice) although the later 3 ingredients are minor to the product...the crab is the featured ingredient.  UGG What to do??  Do I just not have the Crabcake or make some fish tonight??  Do I eat the crabcake and then just run/walk a little furtherer tonight?  IDK

The cherry on top is that tomorrow night is GNO (girls night out) at the Twisted Harp.  I'm excited about GNO but not excited about the calories!  I will look at the menu to be prepared and I may even eat dinner at home then just have some soup or something.  I want to have a few glasses of wine, so I will indulge there!  LORD HELP ME!  I really want to stay on track and I'm really struggling with my choices!

I'm sure it will be fine...TTFN
