65 degrees on January 31st

WTH!?!?  When I checked the weather before I headed outside this afternoon for a meeting across the street I was SHOCKED to see that it was 65 degrees!!!  It was amazing. Especially since I ended up getting locked out of one of the buildings and got to bask in the sun for an extra 15 minutes, until someone let me in...LOL :)

My sis sent me this picture from the mall...LOOK AT THEM!!!  Lincoln (my nephew) and Livie holding hands.  I told you they do this all the time and it is SO ADORABLE!!!  YAY!!!  This picture made me smile so big I couldn't control it and I had to show the picture to EVERYONE!

True to my goals I took a picture of EVERYTHING I put in my mouth today:
PB Waffle
My GM today ROCKED!  Banana, oranges, pineapple, spinach and yogurt.  DELISH
 Kashi and Almond Milk
Lunch was something I saw someone order yesterday and it was as amazing as it looks.  Grilled Chicken Breast with avocado and mixed veggies.  YUM!
This HONEST tea was AMAZING and true to it's name, this whole bottle had only 70 calories.  I drank half and put the other half in the fridge for later.
After lunch I was craving chocolate but as promised I didn't want to take a picture of that so what did I do?!?!  I ate Chobani and Kashi - LOL....
It definitely killed my sweet tooth and with 14 grams of protein it definitely kept me full the rest of the afternoon.  Oh and the pomegranate Chobani is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  If you don't like pom seeds, don't eat it but if you do (like I do) then ENJOY!
FYI...my coffee (2 times a day) has 2 creamers and one splenda.  Each creamer has 15 calories so I'm not doing TOO bad here :)
I was informed by a dear friend that my banana pictures were bordering on inappropriate - LMBO about that!!!  "Food Porn", I think she called it...LOL!!!!!  So I took a more appropriate picture of my banana that I enjoyed in my car on the way home.
Dinner was Sushi.  2 peices of Volcano roll
A half a california roll and a salmon avocado roll....I HEART SUSHI!
Pictures of EVERYTHING RIGHT?!?  I ate the rest of Mason's potato soup...just a few bites.
I was going to take the night off from running and do some core work but with this weather I couldn't pass it up!!!  Mason always wants to run with me and tonight I decided to give in and take him with me.  I didn't know how it was gonna go.  Was he going to whine a half mile in?  Was he going to trip in the dark?  But HE DID GREAT!  He loved it and I totally see this becoming one of our "things".  He is such a cutie!!!!
As you can see I had a GREAT day!
And now I'm going to sleep

Dang cookies...

Dear April:
Please get your A$$ in gear.  Please stop indulging in stupid treats like ice cream and cookies, they are OK but not really worth it.  Oh and due to your "belly issues" lately it just makes you uncomfortable in the long run anyway.  Knock it off and get back on track!!!  On the plus side: GREAT JOB with the exercise.  Running each night and walking?!  YOU GO GIRL! - K, Thanks - Me :)

I have been the same weight 196 for quite a while now.  The good side of it is that I have maintained this weight while not really restricting myself which means my long term strategy is working.  I love the food I'm eating and am fulfilled plus I LOVE exercising...weird I know but I do love it!!!

Although I feel good, I really just need to get on the ball with something to help me lose these 30lbs to a happy weight.  46 to my goal (150).  Come on April!!!  You can do it...

Now let's be practical, let's formulate a plan...
This week's goals:
  • Take a picture and post EVERYTHING I put in my mouth.  No more slippy little pieces of chocolate or cookies that go unpictured.
  • No eating past 6:30p
  • Must run/walk or do 30 minutes of core work - EVERYDAY!
I don't want to set myself up for failure so I'll just start with this...I'll build on this for next week.

So what did my food look like today??

My Monster: yogurt, spinach, oranges, pineapple - DELISH
Breakfast #2 was Chobani with Kashi.  This Blood Orange Chobani was AMAZING.  Ok...it is official, I'm a fan.  It took me awhile to get used to greek yogurt but I'm hooked now!!!  I have a few more of the new flavors to try this week - SO GOOD!

Lunch #1 was the rest of my mom's crab soup...YUM!
And a big green salad with lots of veggies, walnuts, bluecheese and some balsamic vinaigrette
Last week when the boys were at Mom Mom's, they had arts and crafts day...they made these adorable boxes for me.  I love these little guys.  I'm using these boxes to store my paper clips and binder clips.  I've already gotten tons of compliments on them...I LOVE MOMMY gifts that are made my their little hands :)
Snacks this afternoon consisted of a string cheese and a banana.

Dinner was odd...I made a pizza roll up but I wasn't hungry for that so I only had a few bites then I had some left over potato soup (that my mom sent home from GNO, that I missed on Saturday).  It was delicious but not so good for you...I only had about a half cup.

just realized I didn't eat any meat today (I think this happens alot :))

Then I hit the road for a mile run with another walked with Terri...we wimped out tonight because her calf was hurting and my feet were killing me.  Boo - No excuses right?!?  We have agreed to take tomorrow off, I'm going to do core work, crunches, push ups and planks and Wed I'm getting new shoes so that will hopefully help with the whole feet hurting thing.  I mean, I work at Under Armour for heavens sake...I should get new shoes right???  LOL

When I got home I had 4 cookies.  The boys got chips ahoy peanut butter cup/chocolate chip cookies and they are as BAD as they sound...UGG.  That is done!!!  Tomorrow starts the new April!!

Note: I MUST get my butt below 190 before I run the O.C. 5k on March 17th.  I can do it!!!

Ready Ready Ready Ready to Run...

After all the germs and sanitizing and a 3 hour nap this afternoon (which felt amazing BTW), we took the kids to Annie's Playground to blow off some stink...it felt great to be out playin with the kiddos!!
She looked so cute today...with her skinny jeans, little hat and snow boots (I love dressing a little girl)
The day started with Kashi and Milk...then a Yogurt Parfait
It was soup day in the Floyd House...I made chicken noodle soup and
Mom sent some of her world famous shrimp soup.  It is like Maryland crab soup ONLY BETTER!!!
For lunch (at 10:30 btw) I had some chicken noodles soup with crackers.
Or should I say crackers with soup chicken noodle soup...
Then I took my 3 hour nap (while Livie was napping) and when we woke up, I had some Shrimp Soup (around 2:30) - Clearly my meal times were whacked!
My Dad makes the BEST Belgian waffles...I think he fills them with crack or something, LOL.  Mason ended up having a sleep over with my folks last night (since Dom was sick, why not) and my dad made him Belgian Waffles this morning and sent some home with him...OMG!!!  they are SO GOOD!  I had a few triangles with PB...YUM
Then we headed to the park.  it was so fun to play with the kiddos after the week we had...  After the park we went to Jarrettsville Creamery (one of our fav places).  I didn't get any food but stole the boys pickles and some of their chips...ok, and maybe some of mason's hot ham and cheese sandwich :)
Then it was time for the BEST part of Jarrettsville creamery...THE ICE CREAM!  My favorite ice cream in the whole world is their home made coconut almond chip ice cream.  It is literally TO DIE FOR.  I try new flavors from time to time but I always wish I'd had gotten this coconut almond chip...I don't think I'll stray from my go to anymore...it is too dang good.  I always just get the kiddie sized cone and it is the perfect size for a taste that isn't too much trouble, plus I always end up sharing with Livie Lou
When we got home I ran a quick half mile then met up with Terri to walk 2 more...it was a nice walk and really nice to talk!!!

Now I'm watching a movie with the hubby - "Ides of March"...pretty good :)
Then I'll take a hot shower and hit the hay

Anyone else have a favorite after workout routine??  I like to veg until my body temp comes down then take a "hot as I can take it" shower.

Note to self:

Don't count your chickens before they hatch...Dom just started pukin;(

meeting a RAVEN!

Thank Goodness we survived the stomach bug with only Mason getting it...Poor guy though :(  He had it pretty bad out of both ends (I know TMI, but what do you expect??  I'm a Mom).  He stayed home with DJ on Friday.  Dom even stayed home b/c we were afraid he'd end up with it and getting sick at school is no fun.  No biggie...3 day weekend for all :)  Except me...

I only had 2 hours of sleep Thursday night so I was DRAGGING all day Friday.  Lots to do and lots of good meetings.  My new job at Under Armour is starting to pay off BIG in terms of cool factor.  During lunch yesterday, Torrey Smith from the Ravens was in the building and guess who got to meet him?!?!  ME!  That is right I got to wish him a happy birthday and get his autograph!

GREAT DAY but by the time I left I was exhausted

I came home, had dinner and chilled with the boogers then went to B.E.D.  To be honest...I didn't sleep well b/c I was worried all night that Dom or Livie were gonna start pukin.  I can honestly say that when I woke up this morning I was thrilled that it hadn't inflicted anyone else.  In my book...more than 24 hours after it stopped means we were probably spared - YAY!!!  That also means that GNO is still on for tonight :)

Each month I get together with some of my favorite ladies; to include my Mom, Sis, Cuzs (plural) and our friends.  We started this like 3 years ago and at first we would do Dinner our and a Movie, then we did just dinner at a different place each month.  Then we picked one place and met there each month and now...we have revamped GNO to be a pot-luck get together at each other's houses.  Tonight is at my house and the theme is Soup and Salad.  There will be 9 of us - YAY!  After dinner I think we'll break out a game...my sis is going to bring a couple and we'll decide later.  I'm so excited to spend some girl time with my fav peeps!

So what did I eat yesterday?!?!

Breakfast was from the cafe, a whole wheat bagel with egg whites a slice of cheese and turkey sausage.  Mmmmm
Then I had a GM.  This one was great!  I did Mandarin oranges, pineapple, banana, spinach, yogurt.  SO DELISH!
Lunch was this salad: Greens, corn, blackbeans, carrots, some cheddar, tomatoes, cucumbers, chicken, avocado and balsamic dressing and some walnuts for crunch...Mmmmmmm
We had a going away party for 2 of the girls at work who are moving out of state.  I ate this whole cupcake, LOL.  I had only planned on eating half then I took a bite, OMG!!!  This one was red velvet with cream cheese frosting.  SO AMAZING!
I had a banana in the car on the way home and dinner was Tacos.

This morning I woke up and hit the miles for 1.5 miles then came home to E.A.T.  I was starving.  I made my good ole oatmeal but added 2 tbsp of pumpkin puree and cinnamon...SO GOOD!!!!  Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal.  Thanks for the idea Chocolate Covered Katie.

My sis txt me and asked what I was doin, she wanted to figure out something to do with the lil man, Linc.  Livie was taking a little nap so we agreed to meet up later in the morning and do some shopping and lunch.

I got some cute stuff for Livie and jeans for me then we went to lunch at Red Robin.  This salad was pretty bangin...

The kids are so cute together...they hold hands and everything!  I have to get a new pic of them together.  Linc and Livie love each other and since they're only 9 months apart and Liv is SO TALL, they sometimes look like twins :)

I came home, am watching a movie with the kiddos then I'm gonna finish cleaning for GNO tonight then it is P.A.R.T.Y. time!  That's it for now...TTFN!

Is it a surprise to anyone that my babies make me happy?!?!  Of course there is always my hubby, he makes me happy too :)  Bottom Line?!  I am HAPPY!

So what did I eat yesterday?  This oatmeal was kinda gross :(
 My monster was super GREEN!
 The sammie was AWESOME!
 Mmmmmm

Dinner was unpictured crab soup (my mom's) and then my poor Mason got a stomach virus.  I was up with him all night and now I'm at work - Zzzzzzzzz

That's it for now...TTFN
