Confession and Inspiration

Confession: I didn't run last night and I really beat myself up about it...I even tortured myself by watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network!  I LOVE that show but it always makes me hungry and not for healthy food.  Oh well...that was last night!  Today is a new day.

Inspiration:  Roni inspired me last night...I was reading back on some of her old posts and I found this: http://ronisweigh.com/2011/06/stop-what-are-you-grateful-for-at-this-very-moment.html.  I found myself in tears realizing that there are so many other important things in life and not one of them is about my body!  Time to let it go...

Format Change for my posts...I am going to start a food journal (more structured), like Roni does...it is a great way to gauge my indulgences :)  Below is Yesterday's Journal:

Salad: Greens with shredded carrots, light asian dressing (Kens), 5 Tyson Chicken Nuggets (cut)OK but didn't really hit the spot

Tacos for dinner (ground turkey and crunchy shells with sour cream, salsa and red. Fat ched. Cheese) - 4Didn't need 4 tacos but I did gauge my hunger level after 3 and I decided I still wanted another one.
Watermelon (a few pieces)I have a love affair with watermelon
Exercise? 
NONE (BUST)Not feeling so good about this choice.  I should have pushed myself!
Water? 
Horrible which explains the headache and muscle aches last night!


Note: a little quote I got from Monica at www.runeatrepeat.com (I think she got it from someone else at BlogHer 2011): "You don't have to count calories but calories count" PROFOUND!!!  LOVE IT!

I felt pretty good about my choices and I had to stave off some pretty serious cravings but I did and the results (even without exercise) were interesting (I lost the 2.5 lbs I'd gained over the weekend).  I'd like to get below 210 this century please :) LOL
