I'm not so sure I could use the word success but as I sit here at my keyboard willing myself to head downstairs and take a shower I can barely move my arms :) It is a good type of pain but holy cow am I feeling it... Honestly it was 45 minutes of hell but I survived day one and only have to endure it 3 times a week.
Waking up at 5am wasn't so bad. Arriving to a place I was completely unfamiliar with (the gym at work) was a little intimidating considering I work at UNDER ARMOUR!!! and some of the most elite athletes in the world have worked out in this gym when they come to visit the campus. Luckily when I got there it was only one other person working out. I gathered in the lobby area after I dropped my bag in the locker room (note to self...bring a padlock). The "class" was not well attended so I will work on recruitment (since it is part of my job - wellness) but I was happy to see that the only other person besides me and the trainer was someone I work with regularly whom I happen to think is the nicest person on campus, Jonathan. We started with a warm up of lunges then continued to do weight training and some cardio. I definitely survived but I almost got sick twice. Eek!!! Once I even had to excuse myself to the bathroom. That was embarrassing :( Oh well...I made it and although I'm in pain...it is the good kind of pain :)
Today my lunch is packed...
I will show you some of my goodies when I post later today...I'm so happy to be back in the saddle again!
LOL
Time to take a shower

I am glad you are back at it too! Good for you! Boot Camp classes are some of the hardest and most effective training classes - I wish I had the courage to do one.
ReplyDeleteWhen I do low lunges in yoga I always feel like I am going to puke. Working those big, strong, TIGHT muscle groups (quads, glutes) always is a challenge!! Keep it up!
Thanks Amy!!!
